Our guest this week on Civil Rights and Wrongs is Stacey Pogue, Senior Policy Analyst for Every Texan, which promotes social justice through public policy.  The state of Texas tops the US both in sheer numbers and percentage of residents uninsured for health care.  Stacey has been analyzing Texas health issues for more than a decade.  She and her colleagues at Every Texan are part of the grass roots effort #SickOfItTX which aims to improve the state’s health care environment.  We also have our regular guest Jim Harrington, founder of the Texas Civil Rights Project, along with KOOP’s Michelle Manning-Scott.  And Austin Sanders, Staff Writer for the Austin Chronicle, will provide updates on the city budget, recent elections, and public safety issues.
